1st Choice is seeking a dedicated and passionate Nurse Practitioner to join our government client's Adolescent & Reproductive Health Program and Family Health. Work Schedule: Onsite- 3 days per week. 8 hours daily
Your Impact:
As a Nurse Practitioner in this vital role, you will:
- Provide comprehensive health assessments, including physical exams, thorough medical histories, and risk assessments, specifically tailored to the unique needs of adolescent patients.
- Offer evidence-based education and counseling on reproductive health, contraception options, sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention, and overall wellness, empowering young individuals to make informed decisions about their health.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans that address the individual needs of each adolescent patient, utilizing best practices in adolescent medicine and reproductive health.
- Prescribe medications and treatments according to established protocols and guidelines, ensuring safe and effective care for your patients.
- Collaborate seamlessly with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, holistic care that addresses the physical, emotional, and social well-being of adolescents.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to strict healthcare regulations and prioritizing patient privacy.
- Actively participate in community outreach and health education initiatives, raising awareness about reproductive health and reducing stigma surrounding these important topics.
Your Qualifications:
- To thrive in this role, you will possess: A current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Maryland.
- A Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) (preferred but not required).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in adolescent health or reproductive health, demonstrating your expertise in this specialized field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build trust with adolescent patients and their families, fostering open and honest dialogue.
- A strong commitment to providing culturally competent and inclusive care, recognizing and respecting the diverse backgrounds and experiences of your patients.
